Donating Goods
Friendship House provides meals, showers, clothing and personal care items to anyone in need in our community. By meeting the basic needs of those affected by homelessness and poverty, we offer kindness, dignity and respect.
We are grateful for the many donors in our community who make it possible for us to provide these services. All donations are tax-deductible and greatly benefit your neighbors in need.
The needs here at Friendship House are ever changing. We recommend you read through our Greatest Needs list and give us a call if you have any questions. There is always the chance we may not be able to take your items, but we can provide you with a list of organizations that might be able to.
As a partner of Northwest Harvest, and to ensure the safety and wellness of our vulnerable population, we cannot accept the following food items due to food safety concerns:
-Home canned or pickled foods
-Foods in dented, rusty cans or dirty containers
-Foods past a "Use By" date
-Foods in open or torn containers
-Unpasteurized milk
-Foods with an "off" odor
"When in doubt, throw it out!"
