In addition to monetary donations, Friendship House accepts:

URGENT:

• Bus passes (daily or monthly). Transportation is a major barrier to our residents in finding work.
• Blankets
• Rainproof coats

ONGOING:

• Food, particularly meat, eggs, butter & cheese
• Kitchen gadgets and small household appliances
• Toiletries, shampoos, soaps, toothpaste
• Bedding
• Towels
• Dishes       
• Flatware
• Gently used or new furniture

Friendship House assists residents in moving on and getting started again.  Please contact us prior to delivering items as storage space is limited. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions regarding donations.

We rely on your support to help those in need.  Please consider:

• Regular Giving - Pledge a regular monthly or annual donation.  Friendship House automatically sends monthly and annual receipts along with return envelopes to make donating easy. We also have the ability to set up an automatic withdrawal.
• Memorials - Donate a benevolence gift in memory of a dear family member or friend.  On the gift, please indicate who the gift is in memory of.  A card notifying the bereaved family of the gift will be sent.
• Leave a Legacy- Make a charitable bequest or planned gift.  Through a charitable bequest or planned gift, your selfless love and concern for others can allow Friendship House to continue helping those in need and making a difference in our community.
• Employee Giving Campaigns – Whether working for a government or state agency or a private employer, directed payroll deductions can be donated to Friendship House.
• Retailers/Wholesalers - Over stocked or imperfect product donations are accepted for use in our emergency shelters or to help guests furnish homes. We accept clothing, appliances, paint, carpeting, tools, food items, household items, etc.
