A generous community supports our annual budget of $380,000. Our funding comes from diverse sources: In 2011, 65% of our revenue came from generous individuals, businesses, faith communities, and service groups; 18% from private foundations; 13% from Skagit County; and 4% from federal and city grants. Skagit County has committed to funding 20% of our original 2012 annual budget. Our foundation partners include the Jack & Shirley McIntyre Foundation, Medina Foundation, Episcopal Charities, Seattle Foundation, Lutheran Community Foundation The Knoke Fund, Tulalip and Swinomish Tribes, and The Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound.
Thanks to the employees of Boeing for a generous grant that enabled us to renovate two bathrooms.
Thanks to Dwight Holmes and Keith Swanson for building a beautiful privacy fence for our Women’s House.
Thank You to Walmart’s Washington State Giving Council!
Friendship House is excited to announce a $30,000 grant from Walmart’s Washington State Giving Council. This generous grant will support the development of Friendship House’s emerging program Hunger to Hope, along with a portion of the program’s first year of operations.

Welcome to Friendship House! Our homeless shelters and Community Kitchen are located in the beautiful Skagit Valley. For 26 years, we have been fulfilling our mission to reflect the heart of God by feeding, sheltering, clothing, and healing those in need. We support people in their journeys of transformation and triumph. Integral to this process are the hundreds of residents, volunteers, and donors who make Friendship House not just a place, but a community. Thank You!
