Friendship House, in the tradition of the Gospel, has a mission to feed the hungry. To do this we receive donations from the public and other agencies. We are always in need of: meat, coffee, sugar, cheese, ketchup, fresh vegetables and fruit, or canned goods. Please send an email to Kristie@SkagitFriendshipHouse.org, or call 360-336-2135. You may deliver donated items to 1008 S. 3rd Street in Mt. Vernon.

Friendship House served over 48,000 meals to the public in 2010. Anyone interested in helping with the preparation and serving of these meals please call Kristie at 360-336-2135. We have a rotating schedule of churches and other community groups that prepare and/or serve dinner throughout the month.

On Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day we serve two meals each day to the public: brunch at 10:00 am and dinner at 5:00 pm. We welcome all to share with us on these holiday occasions.

Men's House Manager Kathie and volunteer Danielle join Kitchen Manager Kristie in preparing a delightful Thanksgiving Dinner!
