For many, Skagit Friendship House’s First Step Center is the first stride in stepping out of homelessness. With 45 Low-Barrier Cabins, and space for emergency cold weather shelter, those who struggle to reach the services they need have the opportunity to connect with basic resources, mental health support, substance abuse treatment, employment services, medical visits, fresh meals, and transportation.

Friendship House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and relies on your support and contributions to continue to change the lives of those in need.
Skagit First Step is a 24/7 emergency temporary homeless center which will include 45 individual Pallet Shelter Cabins and provide 24/7 onsite management and overnight security. Friendship House oversees the management and operations of the facility.

Along with safe, warm places to sleep, on-site services are/will be available:
  • Mental health support
  • Substance abuse support
  • Employment services
  • Medical visits
